Since the pandemic started, many seniors become isolated and unable to keep up with social connections. This situation has produced overwhelming negative effects on the senior population all over the world. Research shows that using technology can improve quality of life and reduce costs of health care for seniors, known as Digital Health Technology (DHT). Research also suggests a lower risk of dementia with increased use of technology [1].

Distribution of 100 Lenovo 10e Chromebook tablets through the Technology Literacy Program to seniors is in progress. Eligible seniors were identified through agencies connected with United Way BC to ensure the program will benefit those in need. Once available, we will post detailed metrics on our website.
